Safety For Managers/Superviors
There is a legal obligation on Employers to ensure that Managers and Supervisors are “Competent Persons”, this includes training on Health & Safety. This one day course is designed to provide participants with the information required to understand the Legal responsibilities placed on Managers/Supervisors in the work place.
The following information will be covered by Trainers:
- Legislation- Over view of appropriate Legal Requirements, Legal Duties in relation to Health & Safety In the workplace.
- Understand the relevant sections of the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 & associated Regs.
- Understand the basic principles of Accident/Incident Investigation including over view of “Accident Causation”, “Accident Icebergs/Triangles”.
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
- Understand the importance of Accident & Near Miss investigation & the reporting of same in order to prevent re-occurrence.
- Understand the Safety Statement & Risk Assessment Process.
- Consultation with Safety Rep & Safety Committee.
