There is a legal obligation on Employers to ensure that training be provided for any employee likely to be involved in Accident /Incident Investigation. This one day course is designed to provide participants with the skills necessary to conduct an investigation into an Accident/Incident & to document findings & report findings of same.

The following information will be covered by Trainers:

• Legislation- Over view of appropriate Legal Requirements.
• Understand the relevant sections of the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 & associated Regs.
• Understand the basic principles of Accident/Incident Investigation including over view of “Accident Causation”, “Accident Icebergs/Triangles”.
• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
• Understand the importance of Accident & Near Miss investigation & the reporting of same in order to prevent re-occurrence.
• Resources & equipment required to conduct investigations.
• Interviewing Techniques.
• Importance of reporting findings in professional & formal manner.
